Welcome to the SSC
The Student Success Center is a student- centered program dedicated to supporting every learner across Richmond Hill High School in preparing for life after graduation. Whether a student is planning to attend college, enter the workforce, or pursue a different pathway, our center is here to guide and empower them every step of the way. Our mission is to ensure that all students have access to the resources, guidance, and opportunities they need to confidently take the next step toward their future.
We believe every student’s path is unique — and we’re here to guide you through it.
Our supports include:
- Post-Secondary & Trade School Application Help – Get one-on-one support with applications, essays, recommendation requests, and trade school guidance..
- Financial Aid & Scholarships – Learn about FAFSA, Tap, Dream Act, scholarships, and how to make college affordable.
- Workshops & Events – Join us for sessions on college readiness, career exploration, goal setting, and more
- Family Support – We partner with families through workshops and meetings to make sure everyone understands the process.
- Youth Leadership – Our nominated student leaders work alongside our staff to help peers and families stay informed, motivated, and connected.

We are also connected to the Office of Student Pathways (DOE). We’re proud to collaborate with amazing organizations that help us expand opportunities for our students:
Commonpoint – Provides college and career readiness workshops, mentoring programs, personalized student support and more.
CARA (College Access: Research & Action) – Trains and supports our Youth Leaders to make college access a truly student-powered movement.
Together, we’re building a strong community of support that empowers every student to dream big, explore new opportunities, and achieve their goals.
