The Academy of Health Science

The Academy of Health Science is a New York State–approved Career and Technical Education (CTE) program focused on medical assisting. Students prepare for the NOCTI Medical Assisting exam, which serves as the technical assessment measuring their knowledge, skills, and understanding needed to enter the healthcare field. This comprehensive exam covers medical office procedures, healthcare foundations, general laboratory procedures and diagnostic testing, clinical practices and patient care, medical assisting safety, patient instruction, as well as medical law and healthcare ethics.
