The Academy of Health Science is a New York State–approvedCareer and Technical Education (CTE) program focused onmedical assisting. Students prepare for the NOCTI MedicalAssisting exam, which serves as the technical assessmentmeasuring their knowledge, skills, and understanding neededto enter the healthcare field. This comprehensive exam coversmedical office procedures, healthcare foundations, generallaboratory procedures and diagnostic testing, clinical practicesand patient care, medical assisting safety, patient instruction,as well as medical law and healthcare ethics.
