Principal's Message

Dear Richmond Hill High School Students,

Welcome back to the 2023-2024 school year! I am so excited to see you all again and to start this new year together.

I know that the past few years have been challenging, but I am confident that we can overcome anything together. This year, we will be focusing on college readiness, literacy across all classes and career connected learning. Our college readiness program will help you develop the skills and knowledge you need to succeed in college and beyond. We will offer a variety of courses and activities, including technical education, college counseling, and career exploration.

Our future ready programs will focus on preparing you for the jobs of the future. We will offer courses and training in STEM, healthcare, forensics, design and other high-demand fields. Our CRMYA program (Career Readiness and Mentorship for Youth and Adults) is designed to help students develop the skills and knowledge they need to be successful in the workforce. We offer a variety of courses and activities, including job training, financial literacy, and resume writing.

Our CTE program (Career Technical Education) offers students the opportunity to learn hands-on skills in a variety of fields, such as engineering, healthcare, and hospitality/tourism. We offer a variety of courses and certifications, which can help you get a head start on your career. I am confident that you will all thrive in our school and community. We have a lot to offer, and I am excited to see what you will achieve.

The Richmond Hill team is here to support you in all areas like attendance, academic support, extracurricular activities, social emotional development and much more. I look forward to supporting you throughout the year and future so that you have a successful high school experience.

Welcome back, Lions!

Sincerely,

Dear RHHS Community:

It is with great sadness I write to inform you that, after ten years of service as principal
of Richmond Hill High School, I will be stepping away to serve in another role in the
Department of Education.

Over the years, I have had the privilege of meeting and working with many exceptional people in this community. Together, we have transformed Richmond Hill High School from an institution that was closing into an institution that is recognized across NYC for preparing its students for post-secondary success. I feel so fortunate to have been a part of this process. For this and a myriad of other reasons, Richmond Hill High School will always hold a special place in my heart.

I will always be grateful for all of your support and dedication in assisting me to make Richmond Hill High School such a successful institution. All of our students, parents, and faculty will always have a special place in my heart. It should be all of our desires that this marvelous transformation that Richmond Hill High School has undergone will continue into the future so that our students will always be successful and outstanding members of our society.

Sincerely,
Neil Ganesh
Principal
