Principal's Message
Dear Richmond Hill Students and Families:
First, let me thank you for your support and understanding as we, as a nation and school community, responded to the unexpected health crisis of COVID-19 since March. I am very proud of the way our Richmond Hill High School students, parents, and faculty have handled the demands we were faced with to protect everyone as we continued to educate and feed our students during the most unusual of circumstances. While we are in the business of educating, our first priority is the safety of our students and our faculty. Be assured, we have been working diligently to prepare for the safe reopening of Richmond Hill High School. Our desire is to return to school as normal with enhanced safety and cleaning procedures. With that, I am happy and excited to see you soon and would like to say WELCOME BACK!
As a reminder our mission as a school community is to promote young adults who are happy, goal oriented, well-adjusted and academically prepared to face the challenges of the future and to contribute significantly to societal progress. The highlight of our strong instructional program is our interdisciplinary to Core subjects and inclusion of STEAM and CTE programs that encourage the success of all students. The school's slogan, "Diversity is our Strength," is derived from our multicultural population and promotes a learning environment based on self-discipline and mutual respect for all. It is our goal to have each student take ownership of their educational process and develop a curiosity for lifelong learning.
At Richmond Hill High School, we strive to provide you with a quality education, and in order to accomplish this, we must work together as a team. Your success in high school depends on many factors including commitment to your education, preparation, hard work, and determination.
There are many people at Richmond Hill High School who are available to assist you in reaching your goal: assistant principals, teachers, grade advisors, guidance counselors, and club advisors. These resources are at your disposal, and I am here as well to help you.
I encourage you to work hard to achieve success. Become an active participant in learning together with your parent or guardian. Work with your support system to make informed decisions about your future.
I look forward to working with you and your family in a challenging and supportive environment. Best wishes for a most successful high school experience.
Sincerely,
Neil Ganesh
