About Ms. Pak

Hi! My name is Ms. Pak, and I’m the Academy Director for Software Engineering. I’ve been a proud NYC public school educator since 2015, with experience teaching both computer science and special education science.

As a first-generation immigrant and former NYC public school student myself, I’m passionate about creating opportunities for students who may not have always seen themselves in tech. My goal is to make computer science accessible, engaging, and empowering for all students—regardless of their background.

Through our CTE (Career and Technical Education) program, I help students gain real-world skills in software development while exploring career paths in technology. I also work closely with industry partners to bring guest speakers, mentorship opportunities, and hands-on projects into the classroom, so students can see how what they’re learning connects to life beyond high school.

In addition to teaching, I serve as an Amazon Future Engineer Teacher Ambassador and a NASA Education Ambassador, where I collaborate on national efforts to make STEM education more inclusive and equitable.
