New York State Certified Career and Technical Education Program 
Richmond Hill High Schools's Academy of Hospitality & Tourism helps students create career paths in one of the world’s and New York City's  largest industries, from hotels to sports, entertainment, and event management.
 
Goal of the Academy of Hospitality and Tourism
Prepare students for entry-level management hospitality positions and preparation for continued study at the post-secondary collegiate level.
 
  • AOHT classes guide students through a series of career exploration courses. 
  • Project-based learning techniques with an emphasis on strengthening literacy, project management, leadership, and team building skills 
  • Curriculum is reviewed by industry professionals to ensure that the content is current and relevant.
  • Students plan school and community events such as: Movie Nights, Dances, Fundraisers, Parent/Teacher Conferences, Fundraisers
