Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year!
I have been a teacher at Richmond Hill High School since 1999! Time really does fly when you are having fun!
I have many nicknames, but the one I love the most is Mama Lion! I consider each and every student my cub, and maintain many close relationships with my students long after they graduate. As a founding member of the mentorship program with Mr. Schwarz, I will help you navigate your time/classes/life in Richmond Hill High School. I am basically your advocate.
My Loves
My dog, Isabella- she's my fur daughter, and my three cats: Pepper, Oliver, and Matilda.
I am a huge NY Yankees and NY Giants fan! However, I am known to root for the Eagles, only when the NY Giants blow the season. (I get a lot of flack for this during football season)
As an English teacher, it's a given I love to read, LOL! My favorite novel of all time is To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee. (Isabella's middle name is Scout) I love teaching Lit/Pop classes. My love of music gets to be immersed in aspects of literature. You may be wondering what kind of music I love, and there is really no simple answer. Rock, old school Hip-Hop, Rap, Classical, Big Band music (Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, etc.) are among my favorites.
Travel
I've been to many places around the world: Maui, HI, Puerto Rico, Bahamas, France, Italy, Spain, England, and Ireland. My favorite place is closer to home in Cape May, NJ! I have been coming here since I was about a year old. Hence, the reason for my affection for the Eagles.
