What is Robotics?
When you think about it, we are surrounded by robots, from your refrigerator and toaster to your laptops and printers, and even your cell phones. But what is Robotics? According to NASA, Robotics is the study of robots. Robots are machines that can be used to do jobs. Some robots can do work by themselves and other robots must always have a person telling them what to do.
Robotics study integrates various components such as building, designing, electrical, programming and business to create high functioning robots used in everyday life. Robotics is useful for students interested in the engineering or scientific research field.
Our Robotics team at RHHS is building a functioning robot to compete against other robots at the First Robotics Competition (FRC).
Why are we Called Qubit Robotics?
We got the name Qubit from quantum computing, quantum computing is made of bits, a bit consists of 0's and 1's. The 0 is the low charge and the high charge is 1, a quantum bit can be both at once. We choose this name because our team members come from different cultural backgrounds. Just like a Qubit, we are all different, from our cultural beliefs to our morals. We all come together, in robotics, to successfully achieve certain goals in order to build this robot.
